By entering a competition you agree that you are at least 18 years old, and to be bound by all Rules, Terms and Conditions listed on the website. All entry fees are listed on the website and Submittable.
To the full extent permitted by law, you agree that neither The Plaza Prizes Ltd, nor its directors, partners or employees are liable for any damages arising out of use or in connection with the content, information, materials or products of this website.
The Plaza Prizes Ltd does not accept any liability for direct or indirect damages, any loss of data, income or profit or damage to property and third party claims, from the use of this site. However we do not limit our liability for death or personal injury, if it arises as a result of our negligence.
The Plaza Prizes Ltd is registered in the UK. All of our competition Rules, Terms and Conditions will be governed by English Law and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England, Wales and Scotland. If any one Rule, Term or Condition is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Rules, Terms and Conditions which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The Plaza Prizes Ltd reserves the right to change the rules of any competition, any such amendments will be posted on the website.

The Plaza Prizes Ltd reserves the right to cancel a competition in i) in adverse circumstances beyond our control or ii) if the quantity of submissions is low. In the unlikely event of cancellation, all entrants will, of course, be refunded their entry fees.

Copyright
Worldwide copyright of each entry remains with the authors, but entry grants The Plaza Prizes Ltd unrestricted rights to publish the winning and short listed entries in the annual winners’ anthologies and use these materials to promote both the competitions and the writers who enter.
The Plaza Prizes will grant FREE ENTRY bursaries to writers on low incomes and under-represented writers from all around the world.
If you apply for and are granted a FREE ENTRY bursary, you will not have to pay to enter ONE competition of your choice that competition cycle (September - October 2023).
10 FREE ENTRY bursaries are available to apply for. The deadline for Bursary Scheme 6 applications is Sept - Oct 2023. Applications will be considered on a first-come first-served basis. Unless you are notified by email that your application has been unsuccessful, you may consider it successful. We rarely reject applications.
We want to support writers in their work. All applications will be considered in the strictest confidence. We do not require proof of income, your word is good enough, but do try to provide details of your situation. (If you are caught out lying this will be considered a serious breach of trust and you will be disqualified and barred from entering any of The Plaza Prizes in future). Do not use pseudonyms to apply, please.
Terms & Conditions
The Plaza Prizes Bursary Schemes are open internationally to under-represented writers, writers on low incomes.
Applicants may apply for one FREE ENTRY in ONLY ONE competition.
No cash alternative is available.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their bursary application via Submittable or email. (Please check your junk folder as emails can sometimes land there in error.)
The Bursary Scheme 6 applications deadline is midnight UK time on 31st October 2023.
The Plaza Prizes decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Plaza Prizes reserves the right to amend the rules of the scheme or cancel it. By applying you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and those of The Plaza Prizes.
